Fine Art

Seattle based artist/fabricator Jim Mathias’s visual fine art vocabulary is informed by natural processes; landscape, metal, urban decay, mortality and forces of physics.  Jim creates images that intend to compel personal contemplation of abstract metaphors and question rote perspectives. This work represents traditional oil painting and mixed media fiber constructions with natural pigments and ink.
